House price index for new and existing homes in Spain 2022, by region
The Balearic Islands, Catalonia, and Madrid were the Spanish regions where the prices of both new and existing housing have risen the most in recent years. The house price index measures the development of house prices, with 2015 chosen as a base year with an index value of 100. In 2022, the house price index in the Balearic Islands stood at 167.9 index points for new homes and 156.5 index points for existing housing. That is a result of a 10-year period of rising housing prices in the country.
