From 2015 to 2021, the costs of building restoration increased by over ten percent, with most of that increase happening in 2021. While the value of the index in 2020 was 102.7, in 2021 it had reached 110.2. The number of buildings that the Spanish authorities issued restoration planning permissions for in the last decade have fluctuated significantly.
