Here is a graph that illustrates the main reasons for resuming smoking in France in 2017. This survey was conducted among French smokers to discover their behavior in the face of smoking resumption. Thus, it appears that 37 percent of smokers who tried to quit in France quit smoking due to a period of significant stress while 12 percent of respondents accepted a cigarette from another smoker. Smoking is, after high blood pressure, the second-highest health risk behavior in the world. With around a third of smokers, France is above the average of the OECD countries OECD .
