This statistic shows the evolution of the percentage of teenagers who watched a pornographic video on DVD or video during the last twelve months in France, from 2003 to 2017. For both girls and boys, watching pornographic videos / DVDs is a declining practice. This does not mean, however, that French teenagers consume less pornography than in 2003: young people in 2017 prefer media other than video tapes and DVDs, such as the Internet.

The statistics result from two different surveys. The age and sample shown are valid only for the 2017 figures. The 2003 survey was conducted among 9,764 students from the fourth to the final year.
Report note: "Comparison of the results with the 2003 ESPAD survey to be interpreted with caution given the differences in collection methods (internet vs paper), sample size (1000 cases vs. 10000 cases), and mode of collection. sampling (quota method vs random method). "
