This statistic illustrates the preferences of Italian travelers concerning holiday types in 2016, broken down by age group. According to the survey results, active vacations were most popular among people aged between 20 and 29 (50 percent of respondents from this age group). By contrast, relaxing holidays were most popular among respondents aged 60 and older: 56 percent of them preferred a leisurely vacation (as compared with 44 percent of the youngest respondents).
