This statistic presents the results of an online survey conducted in April 2016 about the main reasons why digital buyers in Japan prefer particular e-commerce sites. The survey revealed that with almost 53 percent the majority of Japanese online buyers chose certain online shops over others due to their wide product selection. It was further found that loyalty programs are the second most important reason for the respondents to prefer particular online marketplaces.
