The statistic illustrates the turnover of the cosmetic industry in the Benelux in 2015. As of 2015, the cosmetic industry in the Netherlands generated a turnover of almost three billion euros, whereas Belgium and Luxembourg reached a turnover of approximately two billion euros.
When looking at the value of esential oils, cosmetics and perfumery imported to the Benelux countries in 2016, it was valued at roughly six billion euros. From the Benelux countries, the Netherlands had the highest import value with a little more than three billion euros.
