REMA 1000’s number of stores increased from 712 stores in 2011 to 1,017 stores in 2021.

REMA 1000 is a grocery chain operating in Norway and Denmark and belongs to Reitangruppen. Reitangruppen comprises the following businesses: REMA 1000, Reitan Convenience, Reitan Eiendom, Uno-X Gruppen and Reitan Kapital. As of 2020, the group operated in total more than 3.8 thousand stores in the Nordic countries and the Baltic region.

REMA 1000’s revenue 

  During the time period from 2011 to 2020, the revenue of the grocery chain REMA 1000 generally increased. It generated its highest revenue in 2020, when it peaked at approximately 84.91 billion Norwegian kroner. In the year that followed, it decreased to just over 64 billion Norwegian kroner.

 Reitangruppen’s revenue

In the same period, the revenue of Reitangruppen grew as well. The company focusing on wholesale and retail franchise generated a revenue of nearly 64 billion Norwegian kroner in 2011. By the end of this period, it reached its peak with over 105 billion Norwegian kroner.
