The statistic represents the results of a survey regarding the opinion of respondents on the importance of data as the fuel for the future business model of automotive companies in Spain in 2016. A majority of 63 percent of of executives absolutely or partly agreed with this statement. Respondents said the focus was on creating value out of upstream and downstream data, which refers to both vehicle and customer data. Additionally, the job segment that mostly agreed with the statement of recognizing the value of data were CEOs.
