This statistic shows the production of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) worldwide and in Europe as of 2013. At that time, the total global PTFE production was some 200,000 metric tons, while the production in Europe was 15,000 metric tons. PTFE and its co-polymers have numerous applications, including in cable insulation, permeable membranes for clothing, catheter tubing, hoses, solid lubricants, and more.
