In 2023, physical and online bookstores altogether accounted for over 59 percent of book sales revenue in Brazil. Distributors and schools followed, accounting for approximately 17 and eight percent of the revenue, respectively. The number of new book titles published in Brazil decreased by 1.5 percent in 2023.
