This statistic shows the cost of a generic basket of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs as a percentage of weekly income in selected Latin American countries as of January 2017. As of that point in time, a basket of vice goods including alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Costa Rica made up more than 90 percent of weekly income. In the Bahamas, on the other hand, the cost of a basket of vice goods accounted for nearly 16 percent of the weekly income.
