In 2023, Argentina was the country with the largest area dedicated to vineyards in Latin America, reporting an area of 205 thousand hectares. Chile reported the second-largest area, with 172 thousand hectares. That year, Brazil increased its vineyard area from 81 to 83 thousand hectares.
Figures refer to the total surface area planted with vines for all purposes (wine, juice, table grapes, and raisins) as well as young vines not yet in production, only including countries with vineyards larger than 50,000 hectares.
