In financial year 2020, value of public provident fund (PPF) with post office held by individuals in India under financial assets amounted to over 897 billion Indian rupees, an increase from the previous year. A PPF account can be opened by any individual by depositing a minimum yearly deposit of 500 rupees and up to a maximum of 150 thousand rupees in a financial year.
