Smartphones: daily time spent using phone in the UK 2017
Approximately one-third of smartphone users in the United Kingdom report spending an hour or more on their phone, while 14 percent claim to use it for less than 10 minutes daily. That is the finding of a survey conducted by Statista GmbH, conducted in May 2017.

Worldwide, 96 percent of smartphone users report spending an hour or more using the devices, with nearly half of those reporting more than five hours of daily use.

In the United States during the first quarter of 2018, those aged between 18 and 34 years of age reported watching 106 minutes of video content on their devices weekly, and 142 minutes of each day was spent browsing the internet.
