Sales of business use ice cream in Japan generated almost 50 billion Japanese yen in fiscal year 2019, up from about 39 billion yen in fiscal 2010. In fiscal 2017, the sales value of ice cream for bulk-buying consumers, such as restaurants or ice cream parlors, increased by almost 15 billion Japanese yen compared to the previous fiscal year, while sales in previous years grew at a steadier pace.
