Switzerland's data was presented in Swiss francs and was converted from 88,000 CHF at an exchange rate of 1 CHF : 0.92 EUR.
Turkey's data was presented in U.S. dollars and was converted from 24,000 USD at an exchange rate of 1 USD : 0.894 EUR.
The United Kingdom's data was presented in British pounds and was converted from 22,332 GBP at an exchange rate of 1 GBP : 1.138 EUR.
All exchange rates were current as of 12 pm on June 9, 2017.
** This data about the average annual salary was conducted by anonymous survey and the figures obtained were self-reported. Also, due to the small sample sizes in some countries, the figures should be treated with caution. The sample sizes were:
37 people in Germany,
15 people in Ireland,
7 people in Italy,
11 people in Luxembourg,
22 people in the Netherlands,
14 people in Spain,
9 people in Switzerland,
17 people in Turkey,
106 people in the UK.
These figures do not take into account various factors which may influence a translator's rate of pay, such as level of education, years of experience, languages known, and sectors of specialization.
