The number of outbound tourist trips in the European Union (EU-27) grew significantly in 2022 over the previous year, following a sharp decline due to the impact of COVID-19. Despite the annual increase, outbound tourist trips from EU countries remained below pre-pandemic levels, reaching around 266 million in 2022.
