Café market in Poland
The café market in Poland is growing dynamically. Poles drink more and more coffee and often decide to taste it outside their homes or workplaces. Not only the quality of the black drink is becoming increasingly important, but also the place where it is drunk. Traditional small black is being replaced by flavored, vegan coffees, served by baristas in various ways. Poles are beginning to attach importance to the quality and origin of the coffee. The brewing and serving techniques are also crucial. According to a study conducted in 2021, 67 percent of Poles' favorites for coffee consumption are gas stations, but nearly every third Pole chooses café chains and private cafés. The most popular chain café in 2019 was Starbucks. Starbucks also has the most significant number of restaurants in Poland, and their number is systematically growing. Apart from the Starbucks chain, Poles decide on coffee in So!Coffee, Etno Cafe, or Costa Coffee, among others.

Poland's average price of coffee has been on an upward trend since 2012, reaching only a decline in 2020 as a result of the market collapse caused by the coronavirus outbreak in the country. By 2025, the coffee market will generate revenue of 780 million U.S. dollars, most of which will result in roasted coffee sales. Revenues in the coffee market fell by 17.9 percent in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Coffee quality, new flavors, and serving and supply techniques are becoming increasingly important. Poles are finding it more and more popular to choose cafés as places to taste good coffee. It is predicted that by 2025 the share of revenues from coffee consumption outside the home (e.g., bars, cafés, restaurants) will amount to 73 percent.
