This statistic illustrates the total value of the available universe of corporate bonds for the corporate sector purchase program (CSPP) in Europe as of the 31st of December 2016. The corporate sector purchase program was introduced by the European Central Bank (ECB) and involves the purchase of a range of assets in order to promote economic growth and influence financial conditions on a broader scale. It can be seen that almost 1.7 trillion euros of corporate bonds were available in Euro IG, with a further 1.15 trillion euros being available with ex-financials, as of the 31st of December 2016.
