The statistic shows the opinion among Italians on mandatory vaccinations to children up to the age of sixteen in 2017. According to the survey, 69 percent of respondents agreed with the Italian government making vaccinations mandatory for schoolchildren.
Parents in Italy will now have to ensure that their children are vaccinated up to the age of six against twelve infectious diseases or face a ban from school. From the age of 6 to 16, heavy penalties are foreseen for parents who do not respect the obligation.
