This statistic shows the credit utilization rate of start-ups in accommodation and food in the Belgian regions of Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels Capital Region from 2014 to 2018. The credit utilization rate is the amount of revolving credit a company uses divided by the total amount of revolving credit it has available. In essence, it shows a company's degree of use of credit facilities. For example, a utilization rate of 60 percent means a company already uses 60 percent of its credit available at the bank. Loaning another 40 percent should therefore not be a problem. The closer a company comes to a 100 percent, though, the less financial breathing space the company has. In December 2018, start-ups in accommodation and food from the Brussels capital region reached a credit utilization rate of approximately 61 percent.
