This statistic displays the percentage of sexually experienced young female Americans between the ages of 15 and 25, that had received a chlamydia test in the past 12 months, by ethnicity. About 35.8 percent of female Hispanic respondents said that they had been tested for chlamydia in the past 12 months, where as 56.1 percent of Black, non-Hispanic female respondents had been tested in the past 12 months. Female youth that spent more time alone with their health provider (i.e. without parents) were more likely to choose to receive a chlamydia test. Chlamydia testing is a recommended part of preventative health services for young females.
