A 2019 survey conducted by Statista found that the most popular tea brand in the United Kingdom was PG Tips. Of the 689 respondents, 35 percent said they usually use this brand at home. The second most common brand was Tetley, with a share of 29 percent.
Classic PG Tips remains a favorite
Standard PG Tips remains the most favored product offered by the brand. Although the number of users has fallen in recent years, an estimated 7.6 million people still use it. Although far less popular than the standard variety, the number of herbal, fruit, or green tea users has increased since 2013 to just under one million. Originally called Pre-Gestee, PG Tips was first introduced to the United Kingdom in 1930.
