This statistic shows the distribution of gastrointestinal problems among U.S. adults who suffered at least once per month from gastrointernal complaints as of February 2017, by age. It was found that 55 percent of respondents aged 61 years and older suffered from heartburn, compared to 30 percent of those aged 18 to 30 years.
