The number of outbound tourist trips from France increased significantly in 2022 compared to the first two years of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic but remained below pre-pandemic levels. While trips abroad from France totaled roughly 29.6 million in 2019, they declined to around 11 million in the first year of the health crisis, then reached nearly 26.8 million in 2022.
