This statistic shows the prevalence of having any mental, behavioral, or developmental disorder (MBDD) among children in the U.S. from 2011 to 2012, by family factors. At that time, it was estimated that 35.5 percent of children aged 2 to 8 who lived in a family that had difficulty getting by on the family income had some MBDD.

delay, or speech or other language problems.
