This survey shows the percentage of adults in the U.S. with trouble hearing without a hearing aid who had seen a doctor or health professional about hearing or ear problems in the past five years as of 2014, by age. It was found that only 38.1 percent of those aged 18 to 39 who had trouble hearing had seen a doctor about hearing or ear problems in the past five years.
