DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans) is a planned immigration policy from the Obama administration that would grant deferred action status to eligible illegal immigrants who have lived in the United States since 2010 and have children who are either American citizens or permanent residents. Deferred action status is an immigrant status which can indefintely delay deportation. An injunction was issued in February 2015 to stop the program from going into effect until lawsuits surrounding its constitutionality are resolved.
