In Italy, between 2013 and the first half of 2020, the revenues of the Local Newspapers Division of the media conglomerate GEDI fluctuated. Indeed, in 2019, the revenue of the Local Newspapers Division increased consistently from about 183.7 million euros in 2013, to 231.4 million euros. In the first half of 2020, the revenues amounted to 102.3 million euros.

Data of previous years were taken from past reports. The Local Newspapers Division includes 18 local newspapers published by the Group in 10 Italian regions. Starting from 2017, the national newspaper La Stampa and Il Secolo XIX are also included in this business unit. GEDI, previously known as 'Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso' completed the important merger agreement with Itedi Italiana Editrice in 2017. IFRS16 standard was used in the financial report from 2019.
