The value added of creative industries in Italy increased in 2022 over the previous year, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In 2022, the value added generated by the architecture and design market amounted to roughly 7.8 billion euros, surpassing the figure reported in 2019. Meanwhile, the communication segment followed a similar trend, with the value added peaking at nearly 5.5 billion euros in 2022.
