Indian Life Insurance Industry had written over seven trillion Indian rupees worth of life insurance premiums in the financial year 2023. This was a significant growth in premiums from the previous financial year. The linear rise in premium was recorded over the years from the financial year 2002 except for the slight fall in the financial year 2012 in the country.
