This statistic shows the results of a survey in which those looking to cut out or down their intake of gluten because they think it is unhealthy were asked why they are doing so in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2015. A majority of 33 percent of respondents believe lower gluten consumption is less fattening, followed by gluten being bad for you at 24 percent.
You said you are trying to cut down on these ingredients, either for yourself or your children because it is generally healthier / better to do so. In which of these ways do you think it is healthier / better for you?*
* A boost was included to ensure that there were robust numbers for key consumer groups including wheat / gluten intolerant or allergic, dairy intolerant or allergic, free-from buyers and parents with children with food intolerances / allergies.
