In financial year 2022, the Australian government spent over 63 billion Australian dollars on federal government program health programs. A steady annual increase on state health grants and own program expenditure was seen over the years from financial year 2012, despite all other expenditure types experiencing little to no growth.

Grants to states include the Commonwealth Government National Health Reform funding and some National Partnership Payments.
Tax revenue has been deducted from the Australian Government own program expenditure. As such, totals may be inconsistent with those in other tables.
