Leading coffee bar chains in the Netherlands 2016, by number of branches

The statistic illustrates the leading coffee bar chains in the Netherlands in 2016, by number of branches. Bagels & Beans had 68 branches and therefore had the most branches in the coffee bar industry in the Netherlands. Starbucks Coffee had 63 branches and Coffee Company 36, closing the top three coffee bars.
When looking at the overall sector, the hospitality sector is expected to continue growing, but significantly less than in 2015, where the growth was set on four percent. Furthermore, it is estimated that the growth in the turnover of the hotel sector decreases to 1.5 percent. Besides the hotel sector, it is estimated that the restaurant, cafeteria and fast service as well as the cafe sector are facing the same development. It can be seen that out of the four reflected sectors in the hospitality industry, the restaurant sector is expected the highest growth, even though it faces a loss of roughly four percent growth compared to 2015.
