In 2022, a survey on the topic of resistance to antibiotics revealed that 57 percent of respondents in Italy said that they knew that using antibiotics to stimulate farm animals growth was banned within the EU. This statistic displays the share of respondents in Italy who, as of March 2022, were aware that stimulating farm animal growth with antibiotics was banned in the EU.
