According to official data related to 2015, Italian visitors of the exhibition came largely from Tuscany, the Italian region of the venue, while foreign visitors were below three percent of the total audience.

Lucca Comics & Games gathers video games’ players, as well as readers of comics, graphic novels or manga. Over the last years, this segment of publishing industry has been gaining value in Italy, as sales of comics alone went from 8.7 million euros in 2012 to 13.5 million euros in 2017. Besides, the market of graphic novels sold by small publishers reported a sales value of 6.1 million euros in 2018, an increase compared to the previous years. Similarly, the sales value of manga distributed by small publishers went from 427 thousand euros in 2016 to 1,482 thousand euros in 2018.
Between 2013 and 2016, the attendance at the Lucca Comics & Games convention increased from 380 thousand attendants in 2013 to 500 thousand people as of 2016. The popular Italian event for comics and games fans also gathered an increasing number of Visitors of the event
