Number of domestic arrivals in tourist accommodation in Slovakia 2000-2012

The arrivals at tourist accomodations incl. hotels, holiday and other short-stay accommodation as well as camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks and trailer parks in Slovakia increased by 0.2 million arrivals (+9.8 percent) in 2012 in comparison to the previous year. In total, the arrivals at tourist accomodations amounted to 2.22 million arrivals in 2012. This increase was preceded by declining arrivals at tourist accomodations in this industry.
An arrival is defined as a person (tourist) who arrives at a tourist accommodation establishment and checks in or arrives at non-rented accommodation.
