In 2021, the number of employees in the processing and preserving industry of meat and meat products in Denmark remained nearly unchanged at around 14,344 employees. In comparison to 2020, the number of employees decreased not significantly by 129 employees (-0.89 percent). The relationship of employer to employee exists when there is an agreement, which may be formal or informal, between an enterprise and a person, normally entered into voluntarily by both parties, whereby the person works for the enterprise in return for remuneration in cash or in kind.
