In the second quarter of 2023, the districts of Downtown and Black Bay had the highest amount of available office and laboratory space in Boston. Downtown had over 6.5 million square feet of directly available space and over 1.8 million square feet of space for sublease. This brought its total available space to 8.5 million square feet. Comparably, Crosstown had the least available office and laboratory space, amounting to 23 thousand square feet of directly available space and 43 thousand square feet for sublease.
