This was followed by Croatia and the Netherlands, which had 1.8 and 1.7 percent respectively using amphetamines in their country.

The age group 25 to 29 years had the highest share of the Dutch population who had taken amphetamines in the last year as of 2021, at 4.8 percent. Additionally, it was among those aged 25 to 29 years which had the largest prevalence of those who had ever used amphetamines.
Use of other drugs in the EU
In the European Union, amphetamines are the fourth most prevalent drug across a person’s lifetime, with 3.6 percent reporting to have taken at some point in their life. Cannabis is the most used drug, with almost 30 using in their lifetime. Amphetamines also accounted for four percent of all drug seizures that took place in the EU in 2021.
