This statistic displays the results of a survey on the distribution of people who do vigorous physical activity in the European Union (EU) in 2017, by age group and duration. The survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews and gathered data from 19,982 respondents who had been involved in vigorous physical activity within the past week, across Europe. In 2017, it was found that 42 percent of respondents between the age of 25 to 39 stated that they usually spend 31 to 60 minutes for vigorous physical activities such as lifting heavy things, digging, aerobics or fast cycling. More information about sports in Europe can be found in the Dossier: Fitness industry in Europe.
