The level of trust the public has in the national government in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) was unequally shared in 2023. As of May and June of 2023, 40 percent of the respondents in Belgium tended to trust the Belgian government, whereas much larger shares of respondents trusted the government in Luxembourg. Consequently, the tendency to not trust the national government was much less spread in the respondents from Luxembourg.
