A total of 37 percent required the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). On the other hand, 41 percent required recognizing standards such as the ISO 27001. The PCI DSS is a set of procedures targeting the optimization of credit, debit and cash card transactions and protect cardholders against misuse of their personal information. Also, the ISO 27001 is the best-known security standard that helped organizations keep information assets secure. And Cyber essentials is a government-backed scheme intended to help businesses protect themselves from cyber attacks.
