2013: 5,002 respondents, projection to 43.53 million persons
2015: 5,182 respondents, projection to 44.31 million persons
During the survey the question was asked in the following wording: "When you buy clothing for yourself, what role does the brand generally play for you? Here you see several statements on the subject of brands of clothing. Please indicate for each one how much it applies to you personally. - You mainly pay for the name when buying exclusive brands, the quality is not better."
(Original German question: "Wenn Sie für sich selbst Kleidung kaufen, welche Rolle spielt da im Allgemeinen für Sie
die Marke? Hier sehen Sie einige Aussagen zum Thema Marken bei Kleidung.
Bitte geben Sie zu jeder Aussage an, inwieweit diese für Sie persönlich zutrifft. - Bei den exklusiven Marken bezahlt man hauptsächlich den Namen, die Qualität ist auch nicht besser."
