This statistic shows the diversity in opinion between respondents from five EU countries as well as the United Kingdom (UK) when asked about the attitude toward the result of the EU referendum that occurred in the UK on June 23rd, 2016. Overall very few respondents were very optimistic about the “Brexit”. German respondents were the most optimistic, with 36 percent feeling fairly optimistic about the referendum result- this was 15 percent greater than that of the UK.
