In 2023, the sum of the budgets of films produced or co-produced by organizations in the Netherlands added up to almost 135.26 million euros, up 129.05 million euros a year earlier. Still, compared to the 2019 (therefore pre-pandemic) production value, the 2022 figure decreased by approximately 9 percent. The number of Dutch movies selected at international film festivals was 1,106 in 2022.
