This statistic displays the results of a survey regarding the time spent watching television and videos in the Netherlands from 2013 to 2018, by activity and in minutes per day. Within the time-frame considered, the average amount of time people in the Netherlands spent watching linear television was consistently higher than the time people spent on other types of television or media content. However, the time viewers dedicated to linear TV content decreased from roughly 150 minutes in 2013 to just over two hours in 2018, whereas the time viewers spent watching other content increased steadily.

Respondents were asked to keep an activity diary, 94 percent of respondents kept an online diary, the remaining six percent of respondents answered questions about their previous day by telephone.
The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.
