Bonnier is the largest newspaper publisher in Sweden based on revenue, and the c3mpany generated 4.4 billion Swedish kronor in 2022. Second came the Norwegian enterprise Schibsted, which releases Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet.
In the past couple of years, a number of transactions have been carried out in Sweden. This includes Bonnier's and Amedia's acquisition of Mittmedia, PNV Media's acquisition of Stampen Lokala Medier, and the Norrköpings Tidningars Media Group's takeover of the regional newspapers Norran and Piteå-Tidningen. Since the turn of the year, Bonnier and Amedia have also taken over Hall Media. The said acquisitions further strengthen Bonnier's position as the largest player in the Swedish newspaper market.
