This statistic shows the share of the young population in Belgium that believes in marriage in 2016 and 2017, by age. In this period, 48 percent of the Belgian respondents aged 16 or 17 years reported that getting married is something they dream about.
* n (16-17) = 2,747, n (18-25) = 21,571, n (26-34) = 16,361, n (34+) = 3,020. Although the survey is specifically focused on the generation aged between 16 and 34 years, people older than 34 were also able to answer the survey questions, hence the category 34 years and older.
